Below I've set out three events from each of a particular year, but can you remember which years?

 

Might I suggest that you award 2 points for the correct year and 1 point if only one year out.

- ‘Don’t Stand So Close To Me’ by The Police became UK No.1

- Indira Ghandi was murdered by two of her bodyguards, 

- Beverly Hills Cop was released

 

2) In which year did the following events occur?

The UK entered the European Economic Community

- In March of this year Pink Floyd released ‘Dark Side of the Moon’

- Sunderland won the FA Cup, beating Leeds 1-0

 

3) In which year did the following events occur?

- Madonna spent 4 weeks at No.1 with 'Vogue'

- Glasgow started its year as European Capital of Culture

- In March of this year Poll Tax riots took place in London

 

4) In which year did the following events occur?

- The Queen celebrated her 80th birthday at Windsor

- Arsenal moved into the Emirates Stadium

- Richard Hammond was seriously injured whilst filming for Top Gear in a jet powered car.

- Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams spent 4 weeks at No.1 with ‘Get Lucky’

- Scientists confirmed that the skeleton found under a carpark in Leicester was that of King Richard III

- Nelson Mandela died aged 85

- Sky television began broadcasting in the UK in February of this year.

- Sadly 95 people were killed in the Hillsborough disaster during the FA Cup semi-final

- November of this year saw the fall of the Berlin Wall
