Below are three events that took place from certain years, but can you remember which one from the clues?  I suggest 2 points for remembering the correct year and 1 point if you're only one year out.

The Church of England voted to allow women to become priests.

The world’s first text message was sent by a test engineer for Sema Group.

Cliff Richard spends 4 weeks at number 1 with ‘Mistletoe and Wine’

The Netherlands won the UEFA EURO football tournament held in West Germany.

The Piper Alpha oil platform in the North Sea was destroyed with explosions killing 169 people.

Liberty X spent 4 weeks at number 1 with ‘Just a Little’.

Leyton Hewitt won the Wimbledon singles final and Serena Williams the female winner.
